Meet Kandy Parker: Health and Wellness Advisor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kandy Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kandy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I decided to create Detox Waters By KP the first thing I thought of was my late mother. I get my love and passion for people from her. She always was willing to help and make others better. My goal was to make product that could heal people from not just the inside but the outside as well. When people decide to lose weight or tackle any kind of weight loss goals they are often confused as where to start. That’s where I come in because I believe you have to be mentally , emotionally, and spiritually in tuned with yourself to start anything physical. When you gain self esteem, self love and self confidence that love and determination helps to achieve your goals. My detox waters are made with love to make my customers will loved and want the best out of a healthy lifestyle.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most proud of my ability to understand and learn my customers to know what’s best for you them and their journey. Their testimonies keep me going and keep me striving to give my best to everything I do. It has definitely not been an easy road but it has been rewarding and a learning process. Some days you make sales and some days you don’t. Once I learned my target audience and how to market myself and expose myself more the doors just opened in my favor. I want the world to know my story is based on the love of family and healing people naturally, organically and holistically. And that my detox aren’t just for weight loss but to help cleanse and heal your mind, body and soul..
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First we would definitely have to hit up the brunch house of Augusta for a taste of home and good eats. Then get manicures and pedicures of course followed by a good facial and massage. Enjoy some dinner at Longhorns and later sip some wine listening to good music downtown.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The recognition would definitely go to my mother Gwendolyn Crosby and my sister Ka’Neesha Caldwell.
