We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaleeaha Harden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaleeaha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business has been a process i know so well. I have always strived to have my own business. With starting some jobs in the past I found it to be a bit challenging staying in the work force and with holding my own creativity back. The process then became clear to me to get a plan and start my own business. I first asked myself, What type of business would I want to do and that I would do for free? I looked deep into myself to understand my purpose for my business. I have always believed that when you do what you love and for others the success will follow. With that in mind helping others in some way became the focus of my thought process, at that moment it all came clear to me health, mental and physical is something every women has to address at some point in thier life so that was my focus.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has been nothing but different since the start. I have had so many different types of jobs throughout my career that has made me end up in the entreprenuer state of my life. I feel what sets me apart for others is that I have been able to discet the pros and cons from every job I have had to assist me in the next steps I have taken. I am most proud of the schooling I received from being promoted within my job. Coming from an entry level position and being promoted with free schooling to perform the job with more knowledge to me was exciting. Now with these different jobs they continued to challenge me and sometimes I wanted to give up when transitioning to entreprenuership. When you have your own business you realize how much work you previous job really did. I had the challenges of generating income that held up to the salary of the previous job. But with some sacrafices come great reward. I learned that when you stick to the plan and be true to yourself you will definetly find happiness and the money will grow. I have worked hard to keep my brand to really showcase who I am. Thus far I am happy to say I want the world to know that I am here to help all women see that no matter what the business, you are helping someone in some way and being a positive part of there life. I spell Werk It a lil different with an “E” because its for everyone.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When having friends visit me I am always a fun and outgoing person. I would definetly take them downtown to see the Mercedes Benz Stadium and some other staple places that most want to see. I would also take them to see a bit more of what is personal my choices. I would do a jazz set with live music at Savoy Lounge, Whiskey Bar, Fusion Lounge and a few other places on the south side of Atlanta. I reside in the south so I have quite a few regular places I truly enjoy. I would also show them great food places like Esco Seafood, New Orleans Daquiri. Now no time is complete without something out of the box. Maybe and axe throwing class or paint party. Of course the most dear thing to me is Pole Fitness, so we would definetly do some pole , chair and twerk classes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Although I have put in the countless hours of research, work and preparation, I didn’t do it alone. I have to give a shoutout first to my husband. Thru all of the businesses I have started in my life he has always been there to support me in any way I needed. My children gave me inspiration to do it so I can show them that they can achieve any dream with hard work, determination and commitment to the process. My business mentor partner Lakeisha Howard also played an large role in the reality of making the correct business plan and path to execute the plan. My mother and father for showing me all my life the hustle and instilling in me that get the job done by any means neccessary. My sisters for the support and encouragement and help in the journey of entreprenuership. A few books definetly helped me to understand the importance of follow up, accountablilty and executing the plan.
