We had the good fortune of connecting with Kalamity Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kalamity, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an artistic or creative career because I feel it’s something I was born to do. Growing up I used to doodle and draw so much, I loved being able to express myself through it. As I started creating content online my artistic abilities carried over from pen & paper to creating video thumbnails to designing my Twitch and Youtube channel.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel that my professionalism and drive are some of the things that set me apart from others. What I am most proud of right now is that I achieved Twitch Partner in 2020, it’s something I’ve been striving to achieve for awhile now. I got to where I am professionally by hard work and making sure I am being seen in a positive light by the right people. It was not easy at all, I feel anything worthwhile is not attained easily. I have sacrificed a lot of time and even doubted myself at times. I have to sometimes take a step back and put things into perspective to even see successes that I may overlook. One of the many valuable lessons I learned along the way is that everyone’s journey is different and you cannot compare your journey to someone else’s. What I want the world to know about me is that I want to leave the world in a better place and have a positive impact on others. My brand is about striving to be the best you can be, believing nothing is impossible and go after your dreams.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting the area and I wanted to show them a good time the first place I would take them to would be Battle & Brew. It’s a cool bar that is gaming and geek themed, they have good food, drinks, events and it’s where a lot of people in the Atlanta gaming scene go to hang out. I would also take them to Little 5 points, they have The Vortex which is a cool bar but that area also has a lot of cool little boutiques and rare finds. Would also take them to visit the Coke museum, it’s almost one of those things you have to do, especially if you’re visiting and have never been. Would also most likely take them to Stone Mountain and Lake Lanier as well, both great places to see and lots to do at each.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The person I would like to dedicate my shoutout to would be my business manager & good friend Angie “GamingCutieXOXO”. She has been helping me for years behind & in-front of the scenes. There was a dark period in my life where I stopped creating for awhile, she encouraged me to pursue it again. She has seen my vision, passion and talent for media and the entertainment industry.
