We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaimana Lani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaimana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always been a creative and loved using my hands. As a child, we often traveled to California where I met many street artists. They were making a living working with their hands, which went against everything I had been taught about “starving artists.” I learned how to make jewelry from a few of these artists and always created during my life. I loved making gifts for people and jewelry for myself. It almost became a form of self care. Since I was always creating on the side I started my business officially in 2018. It has taken many twists and turns over the years but finally landed solely on jewelry in 2022 and I found my niche as a Faith Based Jewelry designer in 2023. This is where I find my peace and can send my love and prayers to my customers all over the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a faith based jewelry designer my process is a little different. Since I switched my focus to spirituality, faith and nature, the ideas are easier to show up. They quite literally flash before my eyes and I either write them down, or draw the best I can. I act on sourcing the materials immediately so I can create them and send them out to the world. Once I transitioned to focusing on faith based jewelry, the challenges seemed to lessen. I was making statement jewelry for many years and it wasn’t finding the right audience. I prayed for a mentor and had the opportunity to work with Flourish and Thrive academy as well as Liana Shanti in her Business school and with a one to one mentorship. I learned that I have it all in side of me and that I need to listen to my intuition and the nudges from Jesus and the universe. I want the world to know that I put love and maximum intention into each piece that I create and you will feel that in each piece of mine that you put on and wear or gift to someone you love.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Firstly, Jesus. He guides me all the time and I came home to him after finding the teachings of Liana Shanti who is my guru and mentor.

My husband who encourages me and helps me on the tech end of my business. He was also in product development and manufacturing for many years, so he assists me in sourcing raw materials I need to make my designs.

My friends who are all supportive and encouraging in their own entrepreneurial journeys. We help each other along with ideas of how to execute and move to the next level.
