Meet Kai Cash | Artist, Author & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kai Cash and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kai, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My initial thought was to always be the owner of what I had going on. I hadn’t ever had the desire to work for anyone other than myself , so when I started my first business it was based on that in addition to me wanting to bring my creativity to life. With that I started my clothing line “God, Glory & Gold”.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a rapper, I’ve been rapping since I was 7 years old (I got the music to prove it lol) and its been my passion ever since. My style of music creating is what I like to call “Exquisite Simplicity” strictly because it’s highly unique, from wordplay to cadence and flow, but it’s so smooth and so simple. My demeanor and my character are truly the vital points that make me different from everybody else, the way I carry out my task of creating and delivering, my approach to making my art makes me different from the millions of other artist out there in my opinion. I’m mostly proud of how far i’ve come and how I always achieve my (career) goals. I like to work and be intentional, so when I complete a real task that I’ve been yearning to achieve, it keeps me motivated like no other things, just showing myself I can really do whatever I believe I can; and I believe I can do any and everything. I got here by staying true to myself, by staying down and coming up, fully believing in myself every step of the way and taking chances. Nothing comes easy, but the challenges are what make the reward even better, getting through things and seeing the light at the end of that tunnel due to my own personal motor, I always know that these challenges are only to make me stronger and a test for me to reassure that I indeed can do whatever tf I gotta do to get where I wanna be. Some lessons I’ve learned along the way are: 1. You need a team, every great creator has a powerful roster behind them assisting in making the dreams come true, and the plays on these teams are HIGHLY imperative to the leader’s success, if he/she wins, the whole team wins; 2. In this business, it’s just business, don’t take nothing personal, emotions can be counterproductive in this workplace; 3. Be YOURSELF man, it’s so much happening in the game on the day to day, so many trends, fads, moments, a lot of copycat sh*t that goes on thats here today and gone tomorrow. If you stay true to you and your vibes, you can always become that trendsetter, that distinct piece, that leader. I want the world to be inspired by me and my messages, to take heed and be uplifted, to know that I do what I do because I love it and I allowed my passion to be my leading driver of my success, to know that I’m a pure version of believing and achieving and if I can do it so can anybody else. Kai Ca$h is the elegant fella, the one and only, 1OfAKind, supreme being, divine mind, powerhouse that made everything he wanted to happen.. happen.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m fairly new to Atlanta still, but for my particular vibe, I’d take my friend to a museum of some sort, catch up on some fire historical art cus most of my peoples care about art and it’ll spark up great convo tbh. After that I’d probably go to Copper Cove or Toast , real cultural spots with great food and greater energy surrounding the areas, it’ll feel like somewhere we belong lol. During the evening we definitely gotta hit the studio to make some fire, my friends like being apart of the processes, I wouldn’t wanna keep them in there for too too long though so after that we’d probably go to Main event or somewhere that got some fun shit to get into. To end the vibe off we could probably hit Azule or something like that, fire after hour spot with more vibes and energy, get smacked, just have a great day lol. People and things that operate differently are exciting to me, stepping out of my norm and tapping into different ways of living is dope to me strictly because its new, you get to see life from other POV’s.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I must thank God, for everything, without the power of him I wouldn’t be able to achieve anything. My parents have always allowed me to be free with what I wanted to do because they knew I made good decisions for the most part (lol), so they get much credit. To my family in general, my Godfather, my aunts, my uncles, my cousins, even my closest friends who’ve all always supported me in my endeavors, they all deserve the credit and recognition in my story because they have been the greatest support system I can ask for.
