Meet Kadar Brown | Artist, fashion designer, actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kadar Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kadar, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to have a plan ! You have to have a plan for yourself, if not you’ll fall in the plan of others ! Planning is important because if you don’t know what to do with your career or business someone will either figure it out for you or use you to be apart of their plan to materialize their dreams !
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m an artist by the name of “1Dar” & around the 2015/2016 mark I decided to create merchandise to go with my artistry because it contributes to sales & merchandising Is apart of artistry. The name of my brand is “Juug Runner ATL” & what sets me apart is my need to keep going & be the best no matter what! Me & success are like an angry person with a chip on their shoulder I won’t stop until I get em!! I got to where I am #1 By word of mouth promotion, pop up shops, & always being out in public to spread my brand & talk to others! Challenges always arise considering I make clothing by hand & I’m still learning so I may get a sizing wrong of a logo @ times, things may not come out the way I planned, but the lesson I learned was to keep going ! While you’re stuck most haven’t even started yet! I want people to know when you see my brand you see me! Haven’t took it off since I started , believe in your brand like you believe in your car or your favorite artist !
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend is in town & they came in on a Monday we would definitely go to magic city because it’s a one stop shop; great food, women, & they may run into a few celebrities! On a Tuesday we would definitely go for tacos maybe to a lounge called “the projects” or maybe even CRU, I’d also take them to little 5 points to see some art & a few fashion places like “Ragorama”& even blue flame so we could compare it to magic city. Wednesday, we’d go to cascade skating ring an Atlanta staple for years & skate , get freezies & laugh! Thursday we would go to “The breakfast boys” for breakfast & get red velvet waffles then for lunch/dinner Trap city cafe, T.I.’s restaurant an hear some great music & a few comedians. Last but no least Friday we would go to six flags Friday & just have fun the whole day!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I firstly want to thank god because without him being the center nothing would be possible for me. I would also like to give a shout out to Ashley faith for recommending my story & also helping construct vital parts of my business! Lastly I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mother & grandmother for giving me room to fall & get back up, 100% supporting me & my business no matter what & also being the fuel to me wanting more & achieving more!
