We had the good fortune of connecting with Ka’Cee Coleman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ka’Cee, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks are nothing but barriers that can or can’t stop you from continuing your path. If you never take a risk, how can you evolve in your life? I’ve taken many risks in my life, from joining the military at an early age, to traveling the world alone, and even becoming my own boss. Taking risks is the reason why I am where I’m at today, I’ve had so many accomplishments and achievements in my life, all because I wasn’t afraid to not be typical. The biggest risk many people are afraid of, is leaving their home town. I’ve been to ALL 50 states, and this year I will be leaving the country for the first time. You can’t be afraid to prosper, it’s ok to not know what’s behind the door.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Nature & Travel content creator. I travel all around the world making content. As a 23 year old black woman who’s in the Military, I also wanted to do this not just because it’s my passion, but to show other people that they too can do it. I separate myself from others by not being put in boxes or categories, when I say something, I do it. The only reason I am where I am today is because I never gave up. I’ve faced many challenges, and I overcame them all ONLY because I knew I wanted more for myself. No level in my life has been easy, each one has made me stronger.

I’ve learned to be consistent, have faith, and be patient. Whatever is for you will come to you because it is already yours.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a special mention to my mom, Katina Coleman, for raising me to be the wonderful young woman that I am today and for always being there for me.
