We had the good fortune of connecting with K3lvin Kaos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi K3lvin Kaos, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
From an early age, I have always been a creative person and music happened to be the thing that I was drawn to. I feel that a creative career is fulfilling and a personally rewarding journey. It truly has allowed self-expression and I love how I am able to let my creativity in creating music allow me to communicate thoughts, emotions, and ideas.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My journey as a music producer has been a fulfilling adventure so far. What sets me apart is my unique approach to blending genres of what I call creating hybridized types of tracks. This is where I will blend Hip Hop with either rock elements, funk elements, drumline elements or even cinematic elements. Since switching over and predominantly becoming a music composer on the Sync Licensing side, creating these hybrid tracks have been my go to and where I have been able to gain my success. One aspect I’m particularly proud of is my commitment to pushing boundaries. I’m not afraid to experiment with unconventional sounds, techniques, and instruments. This commitment to innovation has led to some of my most memorable productions.
The path to where I am today was far from easy. Rejections and setbacks were constant companions, but each obstacle became an opportunity for growth.
One crucial lesson I’ve learned is the importance of resilience. The music landscape can be tough, and success often comes after overcoming multiple failures. Staying true to my vision, adapting to change, and learning from mistakes were vital components of my journey.
I want the world to know that my brand is not just about producing music; it’s about creating emotions, telling stories, and leaving a mark on the hearts of those who listen. You’re going to feel the vibe! My story is one of passion, perseverance, and using music as a vehicle to display my emotions.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So being from the DMV area, that’s DC/MD/VA for those that do not know, we have some dope places I would take a best friend that was visiting. As far as eating, I would start in the DC area and if it is my friend first time in area, we would have to get some legit Chicken wings with some authentic mumbo sauce! I noticed mumbo sauce is starting to become more global with brands like McDonalds creating variations of it but we have to hit up a DC carry out. If in DC, we can hit up Adams Morgan and if in Baltimore Maryland, we can hit up Fells Point or Caton for drinks. Since they would be my friend, they gotta come watch me do my thing at a studio and maybe check out a show or event at Howard Theater, The Wharf DC or check out some GoGo. Now, if this was back in my clubbing days, we would definitely be up in Love Nightclub or Ibiza!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely have to shoutout my mom! Her playing Earth, Wind and Fire, Isley Brothers and etc. had a huge effect on my music curiosity and caused me to start my music journey playing saxophone in elementary school.
