We had the good fortune of connecting with K Goddess and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi K, is there something you believe many others might not?
One piece of conventional advice I disagree with is “you see how (so&so) did it, you need to do it like them”.    No, I believe to always move at your own pace, do it like YOU. You don’t create history by repeating someone else’s.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m authentic, that’s #1. What sets me apart from others?  I write my own SH*T, I’m relatable, I”m transparent when it comes to showing how hard it is, I show my grind and vulnerability with my career.  I am where I am professionally today by not giving up, by being strong mentally, never folding but also understanding to “Listen” as well. It was NOT easy, anything worth it ISN’T easy if you ask me! I overcame certain challenges through Prayer and communication. Along my journey I’ve learned to stay focused, it doesn’t matter what STAY FOCUS AND NEVER LET THEM TRICK YOU OUT YOUR SPOT. I want the world to know K GODDESS is a household name. She’s here to stay and she’s about to take over. My story isn’t glitz and glam, my story is a testimony of “you can do anything if u WORK for it”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Haha. If my best friend was visiting the area and I wanna show her the best time we’re going to the STRIPCLUB yessssss sirrrrr!!! We met at the strip club bartending together & sometimes we like to go back to turn up and reminisce about where we come from, where we are at and where we are going.

However, if it was a long week/trip we would eat/drink in the house. My friends and I are really introverts, you wouldn’t know that by watching our social media but, we love peace. So I’ll cook, she’ll make the drinks and we’ll most likely do some yoga/meditation, eat, drink then invite a couple of friends over for a game night/ movie night.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to GOD first, I wouldn’t be where I am without Prayer & Strength through the most high/Jesus. Then, I would like to thank my Grandmother for mentally keeping me strong on my low days and helping to raise a Goddess, I’ll also like to shoutout my mother/family members. My lil sister, brother who I keep trying to set an example for, my Hood (neighborhood) BROWNSVILLE for birthing a beast. Lastly not least I would love to thank my Team, the ones with me now & the ones previously (when my career first started) . Everything is a learning experience and I’ve grown to learn to appreciate the past even if it didn’t work out so well.
