Meet K- Anthony | Singer/Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with K- Anthony and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi K-, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is that I am driven and inspired to work hard. My goal is to create high-quality music that is meant to uplift and inspire everyone who listens to it. I am grateful to have a supportive and hardworking team around me, as we keep working strategically to help perfect my craft and create innovative music and sound that is unlike anything you’ve listened to before. I am dedicated to my career as an artist, and I am consistent in releasing quality music (lyrics, melody, and vocals), ensuring quality production, music video, and marketing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a recording artist/singer-songwriter. I am most proud of being the winner of the 2022 Canadian GMA for gospel song of the year, for the song “FREE”. I got where I am today due to years of hard-work and being consistent. I had obtained a BA in Music with an emphasis in voice, however I began singing when I was a teenager. Fast forward to being an adult, I continued to pursue my dreams of utilizing my talent of singing-songwriting.

It has not been easy, over the years there have been many closed doors, a few failed deals or disadvantageous contracts, hence my reason for remaining an independent artist even after the exposure in the music industry. I have overcome many challenges by remaining consistent with my production and branding, copyrighting my music/songs, registering with established monitoring agencies for my artistic properties.

I would like the world to know that K-Anthony produces quality, soul-searching, inspiring, fresh, christian contemporary music.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
DMV is a very fun area with lots of things to do from visiting the White House, the monuments, the national harbor, many museums, entertainment venues, and a wide variety of restaurants. Negril, Ruby’s Kitchen (Jamaican restaurants) Pisco y nazca (seafood restaurant)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
With God as my guide, I thank Him for providing me with the talent and opportunity to create music that honors Him. Second, I would like to shout out to my family, my beautiful wife Kamelia, who is always there to support me through good times and bad times. My children, Nia, Noah, and Nyla , always put a smile on my face. Lastly, my parents and brother David, who have been there to support me since the beginning and have always inspired me to strive to do my best. I would also like to thank my PR, Sharon, who has worked tirelessly to help me promote my music. Finally, I would like to thank all of my industry supporters (those who believed in my dreams and talent initially and those who recently began streaming my music)
