We had the good fortune of connecting with J’vonte Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi J’vonte, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I wanted to pursue this creative lifestyle because i wanted to bring more representation and meet others like me. Growing up, i found it very hard to discover art or inspirations like me. So i thought id become that resource for myself and provide it to others that would search. I have done so through my DIY events, arts & crafts, social media influences and photography & modeling myself. I created community groups for BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ To encourage more representation, provide options and discovery.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started with opening my craft Vendor Shop. Realm’s Workshop which is crystal creations & Nature decor! I create with my hands out of clay and collect strange and beautiful things from the forest to preserve. I love to dance and discover more about the universe in a spiritual flowy way while reminding others to be kind through humorous quirky jokes and sharing inspiring messages as we all have challenges. Fantasy even for me, has became a refuge. The land of imperfections. Through creating and seeing others happiness out of appreciation is where i find my most peace and motivation. As i am encouraged to create by friends and supportive people, i found the confidence to host events just for us and to share it with people like us or whomever wants to learn about us in a inclusive way. We have tons of options and more developing for BIPOC but nothing for LGBTQIA+. Everyone likes new shiny toys, so i hope everyone gives my brand and events a winning chance! Everyone is equal and we all deserve to be represented and exposed to our culture and history of our own.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Here in Maryland, we have alot of great places and communities. Especially in Baltimore!
People may think its all city here but not necessarily. We have amazing forest trails and anytime i need a break from civilization i’ll just take a stroll into my own forest. Many guest to my treecastle have enjoyed their stay and have been blown away by the proximity and wonder. The indoor festival location is just as wonderful, as it surrounded by Forest trail and enchanting scenery where are you can see outside big glass windows. You just have to come and see!
