We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Jenkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Justin, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
The end game? It’s all about elevatin’ myself spiritually, fam. Professionally, I strive to reach a level where I can inspire and uplift others. I want to be known as someone who not only has mastered their craft, but who also adds value to people’s lives. It ain’t just about the money and fame, but about leavin’ a legacy of positivity and empowerment. By the end of my career, I want to be in a position where I can create opportunities for others to shine, and help ’em find their own spiritual path to success.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a reflection of my soul, blending spirituality with the raw essence of the streets. What sets me apart is my ability to capture the unspoken stories of the hood, revealing their hidden beauty. I am most proud of the resilience and authenticity that shines through my work. Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy, but I overcame challenges through unwavering determination and a deep connection to my art. Along this journey, I have learned the power of self-belief and the importance of embracing adversity as a catalyst for growth. My brand and story represent a voice for the unheard, a testament to the strength and beauty found in unlikely places. I want the world to know that through my art, I aim to inspire, uplift, and unite communities, reminding us all that art possesses the power to heal and transform.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a week-long trip, I would take my best friend to enjoy soulful Southern cuisine at Mary Mac’s Tea Room, grab drinks at the Edgewood Speakeasy, visit the historic Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, explore the vibrant neighborhoods of Little Five Points and Inman Park, and end the trip with a thrilling evening at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta offers a perfect blend of delicious food, lively nightlife, significant cultural landmarks, and dynamic local scenes, providing an unforgettable experience for anyone seeking the best time ever!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to the ancestors and the divine forces that guide and protect us every step of the way. In my story, credit and recognition also go out to my spiritual community. They have supported and uplifted me, fostering an environment of love, understanding, and growth. Through their sage advice, healing energy, and unwavering belief in my abilities, they have contributed significantly to my journey. Moreover, I want to dedicate my shoutout to the power of ancient wisdom shared through books and teachings. Their timeless guidance has been instrumental in shaping my perspective and leading me towards self-discovery and spirituality.
