We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Evans and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea of our business started off as a service at first. We had a vision of doing something that never had been done before, so we had to do more service in the beginning than business. We used our networking & event coordination skills to host pop-up shops and live entertainment mixers to connect business owners, artists, creatives and consumers. We know that most businesses fail during their first one to three years. We love to see our people win, there our goal was to provide business owners the tools they needed to sustain, while using our events to bridge the gap and help consumers understand the difficulties of being an entrepreneur.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are a Public Relations platform that provides multi-media, marketing, and branding solutions. We equip start-up businesses and enhance seasoned business owners with the tools they need to be successful in their industry.
We hosted Taco Tuesday once a week and pop-up shops, once a month. 5 years later, several venues have incorporated our version of the beloved taco day and you can catch at least 2-3 pop-up/networking events in Birmingham every weekend. It’s honestly a blessing to watch our vision impact an entire city.
Now that Birmingham is accustomed to supporting their local vendors, we provide media coverage at the events, offering recap videos, personal interviews and photos of the networking experience.
We’ve met so many people on this journey and they now look to us for marketing, media, and business consulting!
Local vendors now have the opportunity to rent a personal or an entire store front as their own. Also, our studio is equipped with resources for podcasters, videographers, photographers etc.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Personally, I’m a scenic guy. I would take my friends somewhere with a nice view, whether it be a beach, cabin, downtown loft or condo and be sure to have a nearby gas station to reload on beverages. As long as we can enjoy peace, a nice view and a nice glass of wine, we enjoy anything.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’d like to shout out our partners and supporters! Without them carrying our movement via shopping our apparel and social media engagement, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
We would like to give credit to The Most High for his faithfulness! And if we could thank anyone for their inspiration and motivation, all kudos should be given to the late, great Nipsey Hussel. As long as we the will and resources, the marathon will always continue!
