We had the good fortune of connecting with Justice Maxwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justice, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic career sort of by accident. I never envisioned myself being a model, Designer, or Photographer but when I ended up stepping out of my comfort zone I ended up meeting a lot of amazing people and it was very liberating to create freely. I have met many interesting people along the way and make connections that I never Thought could happen to someone like me. I love what I do and I express that through my artwork.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I would say the main artwork that I am consistently working on is myself. From the inside out I’m consistently working to become a better me. Learning to except certain parts of myself that used to scare me have actually helped me create along the way. It wasn’t easy at first. Anytime you start something new you may end up bad at it so I had to learn to stay consistent. If there’s anything I want the world to know is to take chances and don’t be afraid of the mistakes, be open minded, and learn so that you can continue to grow and flourish
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If one of my friends was out of state visiting Cleveland Ohio, most likely I would like to go to the art museums, the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame, definitely a Cavs game, and the cultural gardens. These places do bring excitement, as well as great moments that evolve into awesome memories. I would definitely share my friend a great time to the point where he would definitely love to come back to visit
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would definitely like to shout out my friends from across the states that I have met through serendipity type moments. The family members that excepted me and they helped me to venture off a set path onto something that I was truly happy with.
