We had the good fortune of connecting with Justerica Angelic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Justerica, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The process of my business has defiantly fallen into my lap. My initial thought was to start an online boutique. Which I did back in 2017. I used my own skillsets to brand my boutique at the time. I did my own photoshoot, my logos, flyers, and website.

So, my thought back then was definitely to show up online, look cute, and sell some clothes. But man, did God have other plans for me!

About six months into starting my online boutique, I was getting asked to show others how I branded my own business, and I was also getting clients willing to pay me to brand their businesses.

All I really ever wanted to do in business was sell clothes, I NEVER thought I’d turn into such an impactful Branding Expert.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what set’s me apart from other creatives are the things I’m not only interested in, but talented in as well.

Before I ever wanted to start a business, I really wanted to be an entertainer (and I still do, one day). But growing up, I was in talent shows singing and dancing, and I’ve been in fashion shows and small plays in church.

I also used to write music when I was little and put the videos on Youtube. I’ve always wanted to see myself on big stages and TV, but never really had the outlet, platform, or guidance to do those things.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Business. I’ve worked in retail and have experience as a Visual Merchandiser as well.

Back in the MySpace days, I used to create profiles for my friends for free, and I used to edit their pictures as well.

To sum this all up, I have a creative ear and eye for ALOT of things, but also the experience as well to back it up.

The biggest lesson I always preach within a business is to do what you love. I feel like when you have a passion for something, you’ll wake up every day loving to get to work. When you do what you love. the money will come.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
By 2019, my branding business had started picking up and doing really well. I started making more money in my business than I was in the job that I was working 9-5.

I knew I was meant for entrepreneurship, when I landed that job, I told myself that it would be the last one I ever worked. And it was! Thank God.

As I started making more and more money organically, I was ready to SCALE! I signed up for Lorell Lane’s Facebook Ads course and I dove into the program once I quit my job.

I remember the last half of 2019 really taking off because I was starting to reach more people that I could help with business and branding.
