We had the good fortune of connecting with June orocio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi June, how do you think about risk?
Taking calculated risk is the lifeblood of entrepreneurship. In business, everything can seem like a risk from what products you’re selling to what platforms you choose to sell on every decision counts. Being the owner of a small business means that you are responsible for every decision. This is one of the best and scariest feelings I have ever experienced in my life thus far. True entrepreneurship 1st generation feels like jumping into a pool without knowing how to swim but knowing that raw survival instinct will keep you alive. Eventually, after getting over the initial shock of the cold water, you find yourself feeling confident and venturing into the deep end. A word of advice to all young entrepreneurship just go for it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Rey Signs is in the business of signs, graphics, and branding. I believe what sets our company apart from others is our approach to design and customer service. My introduction into the industry was as a graphic designer. Having a background graphic design allows me to have the clarity and freedom to create beautiful, functional designs. Another advantage that our company has over others is that we are young blood in an industry that is centuries old. Our team is composed of team members, all under 25 years old. This gives us a lot of room for growth and adaptability. Adaptability is critical to creating the best experience for our clients. We love technology, social media, and finding new ways to stand out in a centuries-old trade. We even have a TikTok for some fun.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Now if you are staying in ATL you need to check out the following places. For food, you can not go wrong with Zun Zun and DMT Tacos. Both are located at 479 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316. They have great food and will surprise the toughest of foodies. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, a shoutout would go to my family for encouraging me to whatever I want to be. My parents have always provided me with a great support system life since immigrating from Saltillo Coahuila, Mexico. My brothers Rey and Kevin are brilliant, talented, and humble. They motivate me to be a better leader. Together make an unstoppable team and proudly represent what it means to be part of 800,000 DACA recipients in the US. My wife and her family deserve a big shoutout too. I have learned so much about myself and people from my wife; she is my best friend and inspiration to be a better person every day. Much like Mark Cuban, I don’t have a mentor. But I have always looked up to my old boss Sean Lee owner of Vision printing and signs. He is a great entrepreneur, leader, salesman, father, and person. Meeting him was one of the best things that has happened to me, as I have learned so much just by watching him run his business. One day I hope to inspire someone the way he inspired me. All Rey Signs clients deserve a shoutout, as they play a critical role in our success. We strive to give the best service and experience to every single business and person we work with. When clients share our work or give us a 5-star review, it is the best feeling and encourages us to provide a high-quality service. Thank you for all the support, and keep spreading the word.
