We had the good fortune of connecting with Juanika Freeman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Juanika, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for OneTechGirl because everything around us is business related. All businesses need Sales and Marketing to grow, scale and succeed. My business helps entrepreneurs and small businesses do just that. I have come up with a Sales Driven Website Blueprint where I build websites that attract, capture, nurture and convert cold prospects into high paying clients.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Over my career I have had several technology jobs. I have been a QA System Analyst, Global IT Support, Windows Migration Engineer, Mac Desktop Engineer, Technical Consultant, Java Developer, IT Support Analyst, and a System Administrator. I have my Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems, and my Masters degree is in Information Science/ with a minor in Network Security, I continued on the Strayer University to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Marketing which has not been finished yet. I also took a course at the New York Institute of Art & Design in Graphic Design. I am most excited about my business OneTechGirl LLC, it has taught me alot that college and working for corporate never taught me. I got here today by listening to the people before me that has been through it and succeeded. It was not easy there are always ups and downs, slow times and fast times. I’ve learned that expensive colleges are not always the answer. You can figure out what you want to do out of high school and go learn that instead of finding yourself with 100k+ debt after going to college when you didn’t learn much of anything, but how to learn. OneTechGirl is a perception of what I have been through and what I want to teach others. I want to help businesses scale and get paid what they are worth.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friends were coming into town here is the lineup for the weekend:

Friday night Pasha Atl- for drinks (Hennessey & Ginger, or Hendricks Gin and Tonic, Branzino & Hookah
Saturday night – Apt 4B or Rock Steady for a dancing, vibes and networking and great cocktails, Oxtail pasta, and turkey wings
Sunday – Church at Oasis Atlanta with Anthony Murray and brunch at Ms. Icey’s

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes it’s been a long time coming since I started my business in November 2014. I have followed a lot of “gurus” in my field to get where I am today. I want to dedicate my shoutout to Noah Kagan, Marlon Marescia, Dave Talas, Puno, Ben Adkins, Chris Do, GaryVee, the cable man that started me on my interest in technology as a kid, and all of my customers that gave OneTechGirl a chance with their business.
