We had the good fortune of connecting with Joycelyn Wells and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joycelyn, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is quite simply, whether or not I believe in it. You literally have to shift the thought processes of your brain and others from choosing that which is familiar and comfortable to the unfamiliar and uncomfortable. Making the shift requires, seeing your own brand everywhere, talking about it like it’s been around for years and working it with fidelity and consistency. If I’m not successful in making that shift then my brand will fail.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My creativity is the basis for my business. For whatever reason, I have a unique ability to see other people’s words and ideas. When I’m writing, it seems that I can, literally, feel the words coursing through my fingers and mind. I have to admit that sometimes it is overwhelming. Words are the key to my success. I use them in my writings (books & blog) to express my feelings and desires. I, also, use them to convey my passions on my podcast, Joy Exposed. For others, I use their own words to bring their ideas to life. The most important lesson that I have learned is to not be afraid. It is useless to be afraid of the unknown. My ability to use words are a gift and if I was incapable of handling the power associated with that then the universe would have gifted me differently. The world should know… we are growing. We are becoming bolder each day. My personal quest is freedom and I’d like to bring as many folks along with me as possible. “mySHAPE.solutions… leading folks to freedom, one publication at a time.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many wonderful things to do in the US. We’d begin in one of my favorite places… Tampa, FL. Saturday – Busch Gardens to play, for sure. Sunday – Busch Gardens to learn, we’d do the Ultimate Insiders Tour Monday – Diner at Malio’s Steakhouse. The best happy hour. Tuesday – Cigar Rolling class in Ybor City at LaFaroana Cigars. Wednesday – Sip & Chill at Maduro Marauder’s Cigar Lounge in West Tampa Thursday – Kayaking at Sweetwater Kayak’s & dinner at Sparkman’s Wharf. Friday – Club hopping in Ybor City I love Tampa because there’s so much diversity and history. Not to mention, it’s on the bay. So, the scenery is breathtaking and the water activities are endless.
