Hi Jourdan, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite affirmation is: *you never know unless you ask.* I often come across as confident, so people might not realize how much I wrestle with self-doubt when it comes to my work. For a long time, I held back—kept myself in my comfort zone—out of fear of hearing “no.” But I’ve learned that some of the best opportunities came from simply putting myself out there and asking. A closed mouth truly doesn’t get fed. And I’ve also realized that “no” isn’t the end; it’s just a challenge. You’ll get so much farther by asking questions and having enough confidence in your work to go after what you want.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a nano and lifestyle influencer, and what sets me apart is all about being relatable. In my mid-twenties, living life to the fullest, I make it my goal to create vlogs that feel like a warm catch-up with your best friend. I take you along on vacations, share beauty tips, hauls, and little bits of advice—keeping it real and down-to-earth.

I once went through a lot of self-doubt and even quit YouTube for a year and a half, not realizing how much people missed those vlogs until I got unexpected messages saying just that. So, I invested in new gear, came back strong, and haven’t looked back. Since then, more collab opportunities have opened up, and it’s taught me a big lesson: never give up, because you never know who’s watching. My brand, Jourdana Santana on YouTube, is a testimony to a girl who kept her dreams alive.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
People always have something to say about Atlanta, but honestly? I *love* it here! The food, the vibe, the people—Atlanta just has this energy. I’ve lived in several states, but I’d still choose Atlanta each time! As a Taurus and part-time foodie, you’ll see lots of YouTube shorts on local restaurants in Atlanta. For dinner, South City Kitchen is my go-to, and Little Alley Steak brings that upscale vibe. West Egg is perfect for brunch, and Busy Bee Cafe serves up authentic Southern cooking.

When it comes to drinks, The James Room has that classy atmosphere, while Slush and Cirque are great if I’m in the mood for a turn up. I love our city’s spa scene too—Woodhouse and the Waldorf Astoria are top tier. We also have a Porche race track where you can drive porches at max speed! And there’s always something going on at Atlantic Station, from fun popups to free summer workout classes. Oh, and adult nights at the aquarium? Yes, please! There’s nothing like sipping a cocktail while channeling your inner kid.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All credit and recognition goes to my mother. From day one, she’s been my biggest supporter, encouraging my creativity in every form it took—from art clubs in elementary school to letting me get gauges in high school so I could express myself fully. She’s always lifted me up and pushed me to keep going, even when I doubted myself. She is very hardworking and has beat many odds. My mother truly made me recognize good things can come to me if I work for it
