We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua Eller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joshua, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The reason I started my own business was simple; I saw a need. My interest in photography developed naturally, as I often needed specific images for my graphic design projects. When my family began preparing to move within the metro area, we spent a lot of time looking at real estate listings. I was honestly shocked by how poorly some homes were represented in photos. As a buyer, I realized how easy it was to overlook a great home based solely on subpar images.

That moment sparked something in me. I thought, I can help with this. I recognized the importance of showcasing a home’s full potential through quality photography. That insight led me to focus on real estate photography as my starting point. Since then, I’ve found even greater creative fulfillment in commercial and interior design photography, though I’m still grateful real estate helped open the door.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a reflection of both my passion for storytelling and my commitment to capturing the essence of spaces and moments in a way that feels genuine and timeless. What sets me apart is my diverse experience across commercial, interior design, and real estate photography, allowing me to bring a unique eye for detail, composition, and atmosphere to every project. I don’t just take pictures. I create images that serve as lasting reminders of beauty, function, and lifestyle, whether it’s a stunning home, a thoughtfully designed interior, or a commercial space with purpose.

I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with clients who trust me to visually represent their vision and goals. Every shoot is an opportunity to blend creativity with precision, and I get excited by the challenge of making each subject shine in its own way.

My professional path wasn’t easy. It required persistence, continual learning, and a willingness to innovate. Starting out with a background in graphic design helped me develop an eye for visual storytelling, but building a photography career meant investing time in mastering technical skills, building a portfolio, and finding my niche. Overcoming challenges like finding consistent work and standing out in a competitive market pushed me to refine my craft and build strong client connections.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned are the importance of adaptability, communication, and a genuine passion for what I do. Photography is not only a job, but it’s also an art form that demands dedication and heart. I want the world to know that my brand stands for quality, creativity, and reliability. My story is one of growth fueled by passion and support from those around me, especially my wife, who inspires me every day.

Ultimately, my goal is to create images that do more than just capture a scene. I want them to preserve a moment, a feeling, and a story that clients can cherish for years to come.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
While I don’t spend a ton of time in the heart of Atlanta, I love exploring some of the hidden gems both in and around the city that really showcase its unique blend of nature, culture, and great food. If my best friend was visiting for a week, I would definitely start with a visit to Zoo Atlanta. It is a fantastic way to experience wildlife and nature without leaving the city, and it has a laid-back, fun vibe. For more nature, I would take them to Vickery Creek and the ruins at Vickery Mill in Roswell. It is a beautiful spot for hiking and soaking in some local history surrounded by greenery. It is a perfect escape from the hustle.

When it comes to food, I am all about finding the best local eats. I would take them to Taco T’s in Smyrna for some seriously good, authentic tacos. It is a must-try for anyone who loves vibrant flavors. And since I am a bit of a pizza enthusiast, hunting down the best pizza joints around town would definitely be on the list. Exploring those neighborhood pizzerias that locals rave about.

Beyond that, I think the best experiences come from discovering the small, authentic places and connecting with the community. That is what really makes a trip memorable.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
From day one, my wife has been my biggest cheerleader. She celebrates my strengths and encourages me to lean into my creativity. She never hesitated to dive into the adventure of launching what we affectionately call our “third child,” handling the marketing and day-to-day organization so I can stay focused on the art. Her quiet, unwavering support is the steady force that keeps this business moving forward, and I’m deeply grateful for it every single day.
