We had the good fortune of connecting with JoSha Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi JoSha, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Being an upcoming model I believe that my most important factor would be conquering ALL my desired projects and branding my name. Once my journey to success takes off I then want to become an “inverted pyramid” sister to all of the other females out there who knows what they want out of modeling but allowing the weight of doubt and self struggles interrupt their journey. I want to be the figure that they look back on and refer to when we they feel their time will never come or their patience running low. Because I was once that girl and I use the term “was” because I’ve removed the biggest mountain of fear out of my vision and I can see clearly now my time is now. Being the solid point of our pyramid I’ll always be pushing others to the top allowing the cycle of faith to continue. So faith for others would be my most important factor with my success.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
A model is a career field that’s never empty. Continuing to create content, studying my body and just perfecting my craft. My comfortability within self and my entire look is what sets me apart. I’m most proud of my level of self love; leaving the shy stage alone and going full blast at each and ever assignment handed to me. Timing has never been on my side, I felt like this has been the longest goal challenge but I’m knocking it down task by task until my self branding takes me to where I need to be. I want the world to prepare themselves for this amazing modeling figure that’s about to hit the field running.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Welcome to the World of Charleston. We have many touring sites and impressive restaurants. I’m more of a “Get dressed and let’s live the day as a visitor” type of girl. I love getting cute and hitting up a brunch joint like Vibez Lounge on a Sunday and then heading Downtown for some drinks and hookah at Sultan’s. I would also stop by “Martini Me” for a great drink and music and smooth atmosphere and then later that Sunday night we would hit up “Blue Note Bistro” for a great evening filled with live music and then rocking tunes from my favorite Dj Kub.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To my Mother who’s always been my mentor in life for encouraging and pushing me even when I was in doubt about my own dreams.
Also my city for all the support through social media, in person compliments.
