Meet Josh Sweeney | Founder and President

We had the good fortune of connecting with Josh Sweeney and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Josh, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I had my first business, I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on sales and marketing that didn’t provide a Return on the investment ( ROI ). This loss of capital and lack of results took a heavy toll on the business. Later, when I sold that business and had to decide what to do next and wanted it to be in an area that I was truly passionate about.

I launched FounderScale because I was passionate about helping founder led companies and because I didn’t want to see so many other founders deal with the losses that I had in my previous business. I wanted to help them understand what sales and marketing really worked for founders and why.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At FounderScale, we help business go from Founder Revenue to Scalable Revenue. One of the biggest ways that business Founders are held back is when they generate the majority of the revenue and struggle to grow past themselves.

When they Google, they see that there are millions of people promising to help them market, sells, and generate leads. The challenge is that the majority of those solutions don’t work for founder led businesses. This leads to expensive trial and error, large wastes of money and then founder is burnt out, not knowing where to turn.

Many claim to help fix this problem but our name and mission show that we are solely focused on this problem and helping founder led companies.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would have dinner at 9Mile Station on the roof of Ponce City market for great food, drinks, and an amazing view of Atlanta.

Roaring Social is a great speakeasy in Alpharetta that go the extra mile with music and entertainment.

If they like driving, the outdoor Karting experience in 55 MPH go karts at Atlanta Motorsports Park is an exciting time.
