We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Leslie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is Jesus. I spent more time in prayer and fasting seeking the will of God for my business than I did paying for ads or doing any type of marketing.

The Lord spoke to me clear as day on multiple occasions on what to do, what to post and where to position myself and my brand that led me where I am today. If I was to give any advice to any business owner that feels stuck or like there is no hope for their business, it would be to step away and seek the face of God.

What should our readers know about your business?
Curlz Galore by J. Cimone is a hair care brand focused on using 100% organic and natural ingredients to make taking care of natural hair easier. We prioritize creating products that feed the hair and rid the hair of common struggles and issues.

We believe that what sets our brand apart from others is the effectiveness of our line. With Curlz Galore, your hair will be fed, nurtured and cared for to the point that the use of 10+ products with a 50 step wash day routine is no longer necessary. Healthy hair is able to maintain moisture, strength and length on its own with minimal product use. With Curlz Galore, our Ayurvedic products treat the hair and scalp to the point of being able to sustain itself to that you no longer need to do a tea rinse every other day, or have to refresh your curls after 1-2 days.

We pride ourselves on the fact that our products do not have chemicals or fillers that will mask the issue of hair care like dryness, itchy scalp, or weak hair, but instead our products have an abundance of herbs, extracts and natural ingredients that won’t mask but treat those issues so that they are no longer a concern in the hair care community.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the Magnificent Mile in Chicago, IL. Theres so much to do, so many places to shop, and eat. I thoroughly enjoy the H&M and Zara stores. I would take them to the Museum of Ice Cream, and of course Id take them to the Chicago Diner. It’s an amazing vegetarian restaurant with amazing food and deserts.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends were a big support system in the start up of my brand. If they weren’t constantly staying on me about the start up of Curlz Galore then I wouldn’t have even done what I needed to do to be where I am today.
