We had the good fortune of connecting with Jon Sanders and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jon, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work life balance has always been top priority for me and my family. I can say with Covid happening it allowed for my work life balance to become better in ways I didn’t think could happen. It also helps that my job really allows for it and pushes it as well.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Originally a Tampa native at a young age my mom would always share every photo album that she created throughout my childhood. It wouldn’t dawn on me then, but as I got older I realized the beauty of capturing time and being able to relive special moments. 6 years ago I took on this passion that I have for photography and have done so much since then. Everyones journey is different and I just like many other has had my share of ups and downs while trying to pursue this passion I have. I love what I have build thus far and I know it will leave an impact on my families future while I’m here and once Im gone.
I simply enjoy capturing moments and making memories!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Bay Area is a very fun and exciting place to visit many would say. So much to see so you would need a couple of days to see all the major stops. Tons of places to explore but for starts we would have lunch at true food restaurant in Walnut Creek which is one of my favorite restaurants to go. Once we finish there we could walk over to the famous San Francisco Creamy shop. The next day we would hit up happy at district in Oakland which is a top happy hour spot. After that we would head over to Oeste and then finish night a local great bar at hello strangers. Next day we would take a tour of the city and then head up to Napa for wine that following day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, my wife in home bakery business called Green Flour Bakery.

She has been working hard on creating a vegan bakery business over past years that severs family and individuals with nut or soy allergies and of course people that want healthier sweet options. I’ve seen how badly she wants to make a different not only in our community but have an impact that is felt as far as possible.
