We had the good fortune of connecting with Jomier Augustine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jomier, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
My name is Jomier Augustine and I’m from Atlanta, GA. I played many sports growing up and my parents were both in the military so I was constantly moving locations during my childhood years. I believe that the constant change from different areas prepared me to adapt toward any environment. Furthermore, my parents were very tough on me because I was the younger sibling compared to my older brother. I used the motivation from my family to always do more in everything and never rely on anyone.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is called Two Percent Lifestyle and basically means 2% growth every single day. I started the clothing brand because I wanted to inspire and motivate the youth to be anything you want to be through daily hard work. Two Percent Lifestyle is different from other companies because we offer a mixture of workout and streetwear clothing. We offer the premier athletic wear for all individuals to wear in every environment. I am most proud of the growth of the brand because people are understanding that constant improvement is key within their everyday lives. Moreover, I got to where I am today business-wise through simply hard work and persistency. I believe that there is always something that I can improve whether that’s designing my website to even creating a new product for my customers. Yes, business was very challenging at first and I believe that marketing plays a huge role in the longevity of your company. If you’re able to market a product consistently and creatively then you can sell to anyone. My biggest lesson that I learned was to stay positive throughout the journey. A positive mindset will always keep you growing and allows you to continue to take risks.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I am a spontaneous person so we could end up anywhere! The first move would be to catch up over breakfast at Snooze, my current favorite breakfast spot in the city. Next stop: Lenox mall for a full day drip search and I’m only a taking break to enjoy a pretzel from Auntie Anne’s. The evening will consist of more food and overlooking the city at Ponce City Market. The rest of the week would most likely be spontaneously guided by our daily intuitions such as a road trip to Blue Ridge or one of the other mountain ranges in driving distance, explore the city’s restaurants, maybe catch a show at The Fox Theatre.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout series to my mother. My mom is a two-time breast cancer survivor and is probably one of the toughest people to be around. I can truly say that my mom has inspired me daily to be a better man. Also, as I was growing up my mom signed me up for multiple sports to see which one I would fall in love with. Football became my first love and I ran with the sport from elementary to high school. My mom would be at every single game and was always my #1 supporter. More importantly, she has impacted my life remarkably and is the main reason I started my clothing brand because she has a small business as well.
