We had the good fortune of connecting with Johnnisha Braynen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Johnnisha, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I had to make a habit out of writing down my goals, ideas, and to-do list to keep me on track and it is definitely helping me succeed in life. Please write down whatever it is on your mind you’re trying to achieve or get done, it’s definitely helpful in the long run.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been a model for 9 years now. Starting my career in Miami and bringing it to Atlanta which is my second home. I got to where I’m at today by always believing in myself and showing up. Whenever there was a networking event I was there and present. I’ve always been a sociable person so I always knew I can build relationships with others easily. If definitely wasn’t easy because being in the modeling industry and hearing different stories of things that happened to other models made me scared of who I encountered myself with but gladly God has always kept me and I overcame that fear by always praying. Along the way I’ve learned to trust that God is always with me and as long as he’s with me I don’t need to fear anything or anyone. I want the world to know that I’ve made mistakes and errors but I’ve always believed in myself and knew that I was in it to win it so I had to accomplish even the most difficult tasks thrown my way cause I am a winner period.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my best friend to Blue Ridge, GA and stay at a nice cabin and enjoy the beautiful nature, do some hiking, enjoy the jacuzzi with some wine, read books together and go out for a nice dinner at a nearby diner.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes, so there’s this book I’m reading call “How To Win Friends & Influence People” written by Dale Carnegie. This book is all around amazing and it’s a book that you can read more than once. There is also this group on Facebook call “Boss Babe Kartel” by Ashley Banks, she drops all the gems and give such great encouragement to all business owners and I can honestly say being in her Facebook group has definitely kept me afloat.
