Meet John Able Jr.: Kid Entrepreneur / party rentals

We had the good fortune of connecting with John Able Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In the summer of 2015, when a bounce house was taken away at the end of our son JJ’s birthday party he told us he wanted his own bounce house company. He was five years old at the time. Additionally, as a military family we knew we had a few years until retirement so we saw the bounce house company as a great way to make money , create our own schedule, work together as a family and leave a profitable business to our kids and their kids.In other words, we saw building a foundation for our kids as a means of guaranteed financial security . As parents we feel that leaving them a operational business is more important than anything else . So when JJ said he wanted to do it we quickly with no hesitation formulated a plan and put the money up.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
JJs Toys & More, LLC is not like any other party rentals company . We pride ourselves in providing Great customer Service, keeping our units clean and disinfected ; even before covid-19. We build and keep healthy relationships with our clients because it our goal to grow with your kids . We’re most proud of the Impact we’ve made in our community. We’ve teamed up with the local food drive “Helping Hands” of Dallas Ga to help feed over 1000 families. We’ve taken it a step further by enlisting Hiram Cookies, the local Sams Club, Goodwill, Beyond the Books of Smyrna Ga , some of the local baseball teams , our neighbors and more to assist in making this happen . I believe we’ve been successful thus far because we believe in ourselves, we pray and we believe in humanity. Our goal is to bring the fun and put smiles on our clients faces. So every time we drop off a bounce house we strive for that goal . The challenges we face from time to time are minor . We speak less of the hard times and more about the good times. We just want the world to know that Dreams can become your Reality. You just have to believe in Yourself so others could Began to believe in you too.. Our name speaks for itself, were a military veteran family with one goal and that’s to be successful in life, love and in business .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love the zoo here in Atlanta Ga and we like eating at restaurants like Juicy Crab or Wild Crab . Our family likes going to the lake in Acworth Ga and the park here in Dallas Ga . We are simple we just enjoy hanging with each other we’re a family of 5.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my accomplishments and our upcoming 5 year Anniversary of being in business on 12/15/2020 to my parents John and DeneQuia Able.They believed in my vision. They encourage and push us to be pro active in our business and teach my siblings Neve’ah, King and I how to run a successfully run a profitable business. They instilled in us early on the importance of being your own boss and saving money too .
