Meet Joey Wiz | Owner/Operator, United Skulls America

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joey Wiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joey, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“I shall walk this path only once. Let me not defer nor neglect it. For I shall not walk this path again.” To me, I always took it as “You can sleep when you’re dead.” Do the things you love with the people you love because in the end: you are dust.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Growing up in the punk/metal/skateboard scene, there was always a DIY ethos. That’s how we built the brand and spread it. Plenty of hot days and late nights screening printing. In doing so, it created a sense of community which is what United Skulls America is all about.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Shoutout to the Buckhead Diner. Very sad it closed. I used to take visiting friends there all the time. It was a place you could relax, take your time, and end up eating a couple meals. Now, I take friends to the Silver Skillet. For family tourism, the aquarium is always a blast. I’ve always been simple when it came bars. I like the Red Door Tavern and Dive Bar Buckhead

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
HUGE shoutout to my sister, Nicole, for always being there for me, being a mentor, and being an example of kindness.
