Meet Jocelyn Ashley | Eyelash Extension Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jocelyn Ashley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jocelyn, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My end goal in my business is to definitely expand , Im passionate about what I do but I don’t plan on doing Lash Extensions forever. Where I would like to be professionally by the end of my career is a Lash instructor, Salon and product owner. I also plan to create multiple streams of passive income all through my Lash Extension business. I see my self being an overall entrepreneur with multiple business and not just limited to the beauty industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I am most proud of is the fact that I was able to move Serenity Lash Studio into a suite this year in 2023. Prior to getting my suite I was working from home and it wasn’t ideal for me because I am a very private person. When I was in the process of getting the suite I was very scared because I wasn’t sure if I would be able to keep it up. I ended up moving into the suite in the beginning of this year and so far I’ve been getting returning clients in weekly. I’m so glad I took the leap of faith and I look forward to turning it into a real Serenity experience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am someone who likes to be comfortable and hang around positive vibes so the best cities in Georgia to me would be Roswell and Smyrna. I like to do things like shopping, dining, activities such as bowling & lounges. If my best friend were to visit the area I would definitely bring her to “ The battery “ located in Smyrna. The battery is a mixed – use development so there’s a line up of experiences from bull-riding at PBR Atlanta to bowling at Punch Bowl Social to movies at Silverspot Cinema. My friend and I both love Mexican food so I would go to a restaurant they have there called “ Superica” their burritos are amazing. I’m interested in places like lounges because I like to drink, socialize and chill so I would definitely go to “ Moustache Hookah Bar” which is located on Roswell Rd in Sandy Springs.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give recognition for my success thus far to god first because I believe he is the creator of everything. Without god I would not be able to continue to move forward each day in my business. I would like to also dedicate my shoutout to my immediate family because every single one of them has encouraged me in some type of way. My mom inspires me because of her hustle all throughout my child hood. I strongly believe that my good work ethic comes from her. I’ve watched her get through the most challenging obstacles all while taking care of my siblings and I. My father is very intelligent and knowledgeable which I believe inspires me to want to learn more. Growing up he has always been the person you can go to if you need to know pretty much anything. My sister and brothers have been there for personal things and emotional support especially. I would say when I’m feeling like giving up they are what make me want to keep going. Though my business is in my hands the support I have around me definitely contributes to the growth,
