Meet Jimmy Vonn | Model, Actor & Serial Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jimmy Vonn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jimmy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was being able to control my own destiny, obtaining financial freedom and of course helping others while having my own independence. I always want to be able to provide for my family and to overall be successful.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

JimmyVonn Co. is my luxury brand that offers essential-wear and garments.With this brand I focus on providing items that are a necessity in life. I always seek to provide quality products with every launch. I personally source materials that are the highest quality and have a unique look.

Everything that I design has to always provide high-quality and comfort. I want my products to always be something that you can relate to that makes you reminisce on one of your best moments in life whenever you wear it. Comfort, style, quality – that’s what I’m pushin.

Hard work and determination for success will always pay off if you stick to it. You’re always going to come up against obstacles that will deter you from being successful but you have to keep your head up and push through.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

First things first, we would go to Atlanta Breakfast Club or get breakfast from somewhere good. My best vibe to start the day is a hike at Stone Mountain and a visit to the closest aquarium. I’m always down for a good time at the gun range for a few hours as well. The night vibe would be to grab dinner at 2 Chainz’ spot, Esco Lounge and Restaurant. It has great food and drinks with a dope vibe. That would be a pre-game to the Compound Nightclub with a section and bottles. To cap it off we’re hitting up Josephines or Rebel nightclub..

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I want to give a Shoutout to the Buffalo Urban League, because without them I wouldn’t even be in the position that I am in today. They teach you how to have a business mind and to prepare for the workforce. I also would like to give a Shoutout to the Educational Opportunity Center.

I get a lot of game from watching Martha Stewart and Jeff Hamilton. Martha, because of her business acumen and how she created a multi-million dollar business at the age of 50. Jeff Hamilton is a dear friend of mine who I speak to often and he always gives me solid business and branding advice on how to build a luxury brand.

I would also love to give a shout out to Black Soprano Family because that’s a business that outside of my own, I was able to operate their successful merch line. Being a part of this organization I’ve been able to travel, network and meet a lot of reputable people that only enhance my brand.
