We had the good fortune of connecting with Jianna Greaves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jianna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As a young high schooler with a passion, I knew that I wanted to be something greater. After being around an environment you have always enjoyed I knew I did not want to lowball myself and work for anyone. So I put my skills to the test and began to open up my work for the world to see. Over the year this has caused my business to expand and allowed me to network with others around the same field or with the same inspirations.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a self-taught Hairstylist, I am very proud of building my brand up from the bottom and maintaining clientele in 2 cities as a college student. Overall it has not been easy but thanks to god, my family, and my clients everything has been worth it. What I have learned along the way is that all business is not good business! I want everyone to know that this is only the beginning of StyledByJianna and many more products and services to come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If me and my best friend were out in the town we would have to go to ponce city market. We enjoy the vibes at JIA and the food is amazing. With a Chinese flared ambiance JIA welcomes you with a nice selection of Chinese cuisine and strong tasty drinks.
