Meet Jheanelle Howell | Operations Strategist & Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jheanelle Howell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jheanelle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My journey was all about alignment. I was the corporate girl, but something never quite felt right. I had this vision for my life that just didn’t match the traditional path I was on, and it was honestly kind of scary. I wasn’t even sure I wanted to be an entrepreneur, but something inside me knew there had to be a different way.
The real turning point was recognizing this beautiful opportunity to create something that truly supported people. I’ve noticed how so many of us get caught up in our goals, but we forget about the systems that can actually lift us up. It’s not just about having a plan – it’s about creating a framework that doesn’t just support you, but *empowers* you. And that’s what lights me up: helping people design their world in a way that feels authentic to them.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Untangled Minds by JEM is an operations consultancy that transforms chaos into clarity. But here’s the thing – I’m not just about creating systems. I’m about creating *meaningful* systems.
In my corporate days, I saw something critical: businesses don’t lack systems or workflows. What they lack is *intention*. Most systems are designed without considering the human experience – how they actually make someone feel while working. The result? Pure chaos. When a system doesn’t make your life easier, people will inevitably create their own workarounds, leading to fiftylem processes and total confusion about what’s actually true and valid.
My approach is different. Before designing anything – whether for an individual redesigning their life or a business looking to scale – I start with intentional user research. And I don’t just do this because I like people (though I absolutely do). I do this because if your people aren’t using the tools you’ve created, what’s even the point?
By blending my background as a Supply Chain analyst and UX designer, I create solutions that are more than just operational. I’m building sustainable growth – not just in your systems, but in your entire internal culture. The goal? Giving you the ease of knowing your core work is handled, so you can focus on what truly matters.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is truly a challenge because I am a homebody. Also, it really depends on what my friend needs out of the trip. Every visit is not a time to turn up, sometimes we need stillness in a different environment. But to answer the question – for breakfast I’m absolutely taking someone to Another Broken Egg as it’s one of my faves and has something for everyone. If the itinerary is stillness, I’d suggest a spa like Village Health Spa & the take them to Read Shop in Vinings for some coffee & cute books. Next up we’d explore the Chattahoochee river are so we can sit and talk, or even walk. I’d probably plan a VERY laidback visit. If they wanted something more upbeat, I’d have to source suggestions from my friends lol.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It’s impossible to pinpoint just one person because my community has been EVERYTHING. My husband, Nik, has been such a safe & special space – celebrating me through every win and encouraging me in any challenge – believing in me even when I struggled to believe in myself.
My best friends? They’re absolute champions. Some met with me weekly for an entire year, helping me dig deep and clarify everything – from my business offerings to my ideal clients and strategy. Others became my unofficial brand ambassadors, sharing my work and reaffirming the real need for what I’m creating.
And my mentor? Justin D. didn’t just listen to my ideas – he heard my passion and helped me transform it into something marketable and profitable. This community has supported me in ways that far exceeded anything I could have imagined. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the love, wisdom, and belief they’ve poured into my journey.
