We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is very important for an entrepreneur. You have to be willing to walk in faith and use wisdom at the same time. Some risks may be too costly and may not be a good investment. You may make some mistakes along the way but it’s important to be courageous enough to try. Be prayerful about the moves you make and always remember that your steps are being ordered by God. Even your mistakes are lessons and you can’t be afraid to try. You never know one risk could be the very thing to blow your business up or put you on the map. You can’t be a business owner and be afraid to be a risk taker; that’s an oxymoron.

What should our readers know about your business?

I got to where I am because of my faith in God and myself. It wasn’t easy however I am dedicated to my life’s purpose. I learned how to be more compassionate towards myself and to no stay in the game regardless to whom comes and goes.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you love seafood I’m going to have to say King Claw off of Mt. Zion! The food is amazing and drinks are off the chain. My favorite restaurant is Chili’s, you just try the mango strawberry margarita; you will thank me later. If it’s with my girls, the Selfie Museum is always fun. If I wanted to enjoy a romantic night I like going to the sky view and a carriage ride!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely want to shout out my best friends Besceglia Hall and K Stefani Booker. Besceglia is a holistic counselor and coach like me so we connect spiritually and metaphysically in ways that can’t be explained with words. We have been friends for 10 years and I’m truly grateful for her being my friend and sister. I am really grateful for K Stefani because she’s my right hand in business as my COO/CFO. I call her “Midas” because her spirit is Excellence is impeccable. I appreciate her because our friendship goes without judgement and the strength of our sisterly bond is Iron Clad. I am grateful for my parents, my children, my organizations (The Pink Society and BADD Girl, LLC, friends and family. They have all contributed in my life and I’m grateful for their love and support.
