We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Ware and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
My balance change drastically after I moved 3 years ago. I got married 2 years ago and I have 2 kids (13/9). I started working a full time job that is 12 hours overnight 5 days a week. I barely have time to focus on anything for myself anymore. My husband recently walked out on me living me to balance everything all on my own . Now, even though all this stuff hit me at once, I still remain humble and find balance and peace amongst myself. I have never been the type to just throw in the towel, I have to keep pushing for the sake of my kids and my own goals. Life has been tough I admit that, but the way I am set up I will push through. Having the balance to keep going and struggling allows me to know that God is not through with me yet.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What set me apart from others is my personality and my humbleness. I am very proud to be a mother of 2 amazing kids and also reaching some of goals. I have tried all sorts of things in order to find my way of life and purpose. I faced so many obstacles in my life from being raised in a very poor home with running water to not having even having a working bathroom. As an adult, I manage to graduate high school and along with that I found myself in an abusive relationship at the age of 18. Even after that I was mentally torture in my first marriage and ended up in jail multiple times, even stripping. All I can say is that through all of this I still remain true to myself by helping people through their tough relationships with a smile on face, while I was going through hell. In the midst of it all I found that my purpose was to be a prayer warrior and to help others see the light at the in of the tunnel. I learned how to handle my finances better in order to get out of my situations. By the age of 27 I wanted to go into finances so that I can at least help people or maybe even one person out of their troubles. I started doing taxes because it soothe me when the tax season would come and I could help others for free. Some of the lessons I learned along the way was to stay strong in the Lord and keep praying, and always give a helping hand or and encouraging word. I would want the world to know that I have a story to tell and i want them to listen because so many people keep things to themselves and they are only hurting themselves. Yes, everybody has a story but not many will tell it any order to help someone else.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend was visiting for the week the first I would show her is around my home. The reason why is because I would want her to fill comfortable in the surrounding that she will be staying in. I would then proceed to take her downtown to look walk around the area and catch up on old times. We would be in Dallas, Texas. We would go different restaurants so she can experience foods that she does not have in her home town. We go on a night of just lounges and skyview outlooks. I would like for her to see the city at night because it absolutely beautiful with all the lights and views. Museums and outdoor adventures would be on the schedule as well for days to come.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
