We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Renee’ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The primary reason I wanted to start my own business stems from my lifelong desire for independence and self-reliance. From a young age, I recognized that I thrived when taking ownership of my goals and decisions. With a strong and determined mindset, I’ve always believed that by putting my best foot forward and maintaining confidence in my abilities, I could achieve success on my own terms. Additionally, I’ve always been passionate about creating a legacy for my family and serving as a blueprint for younger girls like myself who aspire to become successful entrepreneurs.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The love I have for my career is truly immeasurable. Being able to contribute to someone feeling beautiful both inside and out is an absolute honor. My favorite part of the service is witnessing my clients’ reactions at the end, and here’s why: seeing their smiles and watching them embrace self-love brings me immense joy.

What sets me apart from the average hairstylist is my dedication to going above and beyond for my clients, ensuring they feel valued and special. Was the journey easy? Absolutely not. I’ve faced countless challenges but overcame them by staying focused on my ultimate goal: achieving success.

Throughout this journey, I’ve learned many lessons—some of them tough. One of the hardest was accepting that I can’t take everyone with me on my path to success, no matter how much I may want to. However, the most significant lesson has been to embrace the bad just as much as the good and to remain humble, always recognizing there’s room for growth and improvement.

If there’s one thing I’d want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that it is a true reflection of who I am. The creativity, artistry, passion, and love I pour into my work are genuine expressions of my character, and that will never change.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not typically someone who spends a lot of time hanging out. I’m more of a shopper at heart, but when I do go out, it’s usually for a special occasion. However, I do enjoy a good lounge—somewhere with hookah, great music, and a good vibe!. Overall, I consider myself a homebody. Work truly takes center stage in my life and is where I dedicate most of my energy and focus.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The journey to success has not been without its challenges, but I could not have achieved it without God, the unwavering support of my family, friends, and clients, as well as the invaluable mentorship of fellow entrepreneurs in the beauty industry. I am especially grateful to my immediate family for believing in me, listening to my ideas, providing constructive criticism, and offering both a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on.

This journey has been long and transformative, and I also want to take a moment to thank myself—a reminder I often neglect. I’ve endured a great deal, yet I’ve learned to embrace all of it—the good, the bad, and the difficult—and channel it as motivation to strive for a better version of myself in every aspect of life.

Above all, I am extremely grateful to everyone who has played a part in my success journey. This could not have been accomplished without their love, support, and encouragement.
