We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
My grandmother was in the hospital and I wanted to do something special for her. I thought to myself that flowers were typical so I wanted to do something extra. I came across fruit arrangements. It inspired me to dig in to my creative side. I enjoy doing things with love that spread joy to others. The gift brought a great smile to my grandmother.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve worked in corporate America for nearly 20 years. Along the way I’ve learned that people have so much going on that when you take a moment to do something nice for them it can go a long way in making a difference in their lives. That applies to both colleagues and clients. It’s a great feeling to bring joy to someone’s life and I do it through treats. Fruit From the Heart is all about doing things with love for another person.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta is a town full of culture and great spots. Brunch is a must. When I have guests in town I like to take them to Breakfast at Barneys or Toast on Lenox. We may spend the afternoon taking a bike ride at Riverside Park along the Chattahoochee River. I love a good rooftop vibe so Drawbar in Midtown is a must see at sunset. No trip to Atlanta would be complete without a visit to the historic MLK Center.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout out to my father. He is a great example of an entrepreneur owning multiple businesses. I constantly learn from him what it means to be committed and dedicated to your craft. You should always look for ways to improve your skills. I thank him for the love and encouragement that he instills in me.
