We had the good fortune of connecting with Jerica Morales and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jerica, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from Camden, New Jersey, where I was raised by my mother alongside my younger sister and brother. Growing up, I watched my mother live in survival mode—working full-time and even becoming a college student while raising three children on her own. She did the best she could, but as the oldest, I had many responsibilities. I took care of my siblings, ensured the house was clean, and prepared meals. While my mother worked tirelessly to meet our basic needs, she wasn’t emotionally or mentally available for us. We didn’t experience much love, affection, or the guidance needed to prepare us for life ahead.

My father was incarcerated for most of my life, so I never had a father figure. At 18, I became a mom while in an abusive relationship that lasted eight years. By 24, I was a single mom of two, struggling to make ends meet and care for my children while living in survival mode myself. Dealing with my own trauma, I unknowingly began passing down the same generational curses I had grown up with. I was angry, hurt, and lost—often acting out in rage, fighting, and using alcohol to suppress my pain.

Despite these challenges, I managed to graduate as a medical assistant, but catching a felony charge made it impossible to find a job in my field. This led me to working warehouse jobs with minimum wage to provide for my children, but a moment of clarity during a confrontation at work changed my life. Instead of reacting, I walked out, determined never to work for anyone else again.

That decision marked the beginning of my healing journey. I found my instructor, Tracey Bryant, and enrolled in her course on holistic healing and self-care. It was life-changing. I began healing myself and offering holistic services to women dealing with various womb conditions. Helping women heal from the inside out. In 2020, I opened a spa where I helped over 200 women and celebrated over 100 known babies born through the women I supported.

By 2023, I felt called to focus on helping women more intentionally. I closed my spa to dedicate myself to coaching women on healing past traumas, reclaiming their power, and growing into their best selves through holistic practices and self-care. Today, I am proud to help women who feel lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their true selves to break free from cycles of survival and step into a life of purpose, peace, and joy.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, HealingHerEntrance, is more than just a wellness brand—it’s a mission to help women heal, grow, and reclaim their power. I specialize in guiding moms who feel overwhelmed, lost, or disconnected from their true selves to break free from survival mode and step into a life of peace, purpose, and joy. Through holistic practices, self-care routines, and trauma healing, I help women rebuild their lives with intention and self-love.

What sets HealingHerEntrance apart is that my work is deeply rooted in my personal journey. I’ve lived the struggles that many of my clients face—trauma, survival mode, single motherhood, and breaking generational cycles. Because I’ve done the inner work myself, I can connect with my clients on a level that goes beyond surface healing. I offer not just empathy, but proven methods to create real, lasting transformation.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the lives I’ve touched and the stories of transformation I’ve witnessed. In 2020, I opened a spa where I helped over 200 women and celebrated over 100 babies born to mothers who had worked with me. Today, as a coach, I’m excited to focus even more intentionally on helping women heal their emotional wounds, redefine their self-worth, and reclaim their power.

Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced many challenges—being a single mom, working through my own trauma, and overcoming the stigma of having a felony on my record. When I started my healing journey, I had no roadmap. It was through sheer determination, faith, and learning from mentors like Tracey Bryant that I was able to transform my life.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that healing isn’t linear. It requires patience, self-compassion, and persistence. I’ve also learned that it’s okay to pivot and follow your calling. Closing my spa in 2023 to focus on coaching wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one for where I am in my purpose.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that transformation is possible. You don’t have to stay stuck in survival mode or carry the weight of past trauma forever. My story is proof that with the right mindset, tools, and support, you can heal, grow, and step into your best self. I’m here to show women that they are not alone—and that their healing journey can be the key to unlocking a life they never thought possible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since I recently moved to Atlanta, this city has been all about building a new community, getting closer to those who inspire me, and surrounding myself with like-minded women. When my girlfriend came to visit, I made sure her trip was filled with inspiration, connection, and, of course, some fun!

I’m still finding my way around Atlanta, but one thing’s for sure we’re always going to have a glass of wine and some good wings! Whether we’re out exploring or just enjoying the vibe of the city, laughter and meeting new people is something I truly enjoy. Atlanta has an incredible energy, and every experience here feels like another opportunity to grow, connect, and create memories.
