Meet Jeremy Perry | Photographer & Mixed Media Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Perry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeremy, is there something you believe many others might not?
GET A GOOD JOB! This normally tends to be the advice that, tells you too get a good job even if you hate it. This thought process will have you working in some field or career path you don’t like just for the money! Do something you love and the money will come it will manifest itself and align with your path.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a cross between photography and mixed media so some of my art may have elements of motion some may mesh traditional painting styles and infuse that with the photography. What excites me about my art is that it is a direct reflection of how I am feeling. My art is hard wired to my mood. When you look at my art you can get to know me if you look long enough it reveals itself. I express my feelings through art. I use alot of clouds and skys to create alternate reality-based off my mood. If I am having a depressing day the art may be moody or dark when I am happy burst of color and bright vibrant shades are used. The road to where I am today was long it took me 8 + years to get to the level I am at right now. I learn something new everyday. The path to learning and mastery does not stop. I have learned you always have to be teachable and open minded. You don’t know it all and never will. You will lose faith sometimes when getting into photography. It happens to everyone but you have to remember why you started in the first place and hold on to that fire and keep it safe. Its the passion for me the joy of creating and snapping a moment that we will never get back ever!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
