We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenoir Lynne’ and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jenoir, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to help other women gain financial freedom by teaching them lucrative beauty techniques to start their own businesses. I remembered what it was like to struggle to make ends meet before I started doing beauty services so I wanted to share my expertise and wisdom of the industry with others. That’s how my beauty school was born and what led me to eventually form my non-profit organization for women entrepreneurs. I wanted to start my path of building a legacy of impact in the women’s entrepreneurship space.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My beauty school is different than any other because we offer continued education classes for high demand techniques. With traditional beauty schools, you learn basic techniques, but they don’t teach you the moneymaking
services like we do, I am most proud that my school has trained thousands of students who have gone on to be successful in the Beauty. I got to where I am today in business by being consistent. It was not easy, but I focused on self motivation versus expecting it from. Some lessons I’ve learned along the way is to stay ahead of the trends, invest in marketing, and investing in hiring a team of specialists to do things that you’re not great at is totally worth it. I want the world to know that with my brand we don’t treat clients/students as mere money. We treat them like people, and we give them an experience that we would want to have ourselves.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely look marinate the entire time. We would try out all of the trendy restaurants with amazing food and picture-perfect photo ops. We would book a full spa day with facials and massages. We would do a fun like a sipping paint or a floral arrangement making class. We would visit a few wineries for a day of wine tasting. We would have a shopping day to get some unique pieces and souvenirs. And lastly, we would have a day where we just explore the resort and do the beach and pool all day .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My dad. He was my first up-close example of an entrepreneur. He showed me how to structure a business and how to run a successful business. I am forever grateful for the wisdom he shared with me.
