Meet Jennyfer Crawford-Williams | Small Business Advocate & Marketplace Curator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennyfer Crawford-Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennyfer, what do you attribute your success to?
Being personable and caring about the success of others is the most important factor in achieving success for my brand. It has shown that prioritizing building genuine relationships with my audience and customers, which has lead to long-term loyalty and support. Additionally, having a clear purpose and working towards it has provided a strong foundation for my brand’s growth and success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets my company apart is my unwavering passion for people and their success. It hasn’t been an easy journey, with its fair share of ups and downs, steep learning curves, and the challenges of being a self-taught entrepreneur. However, these experiences have taught me invaluable lessons.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned along this path is the importance of staying true to oneself. Authenticity and integrity are at the core of my business values. But what truly brings me joy is witnessing others succeed. My life’s work is dedicated to helping others achieve their dreams and pushing them forward. We are all on a journey of learning and growth, and I am committed to providing the necessary resources and support to help people reach their goals.
This year, I am proud to celebrate 12 years in business, including 10 successful years of our event, All Things Detroit. This event brings together hundreds of businesses and thousands of customers, fostering a sense of community and support. Our aim is to continue thriving and expand our reach to a national platform, raising awareness about the impact of supporting small businesses. By investing in your community and supporting small businesses, you are not only contributing to their success but also providing for their families.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my best friend visits from Texas, we always make sure to prioritize some quality girl time. During her week-long stay, one of our favorite activities is to meet up at Rosa, a charming coffee shop, where we can sit and talk for hours. The relaxed ambiance and comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee create the perfect setting for catching up.
When it comes to dining, my top choice is Mexican Village, a renowned Mexican restaurant located in Southwest Detroit. We indulge in delicious meals while savoring the vibrant flavors and authentic cuisine. Of course, we can’t resist pairing our meals with a few cocktails to enhance the overall experience.
While we may spend some time at home in Lafayette Park, Detroit, reminiscing about our childhood and sharing updates on our lives, we also enjoy venturing out to explore our old neighborhood on the east side of Detroit. It’s always nostalgic to visit familiar locations and reminisce about the memories we’ve shared.
Additionally, my best friend loves attending the event I produce during her visit. It’s a fantastic opportunity for her to experience the vibrant atmosphere and connect with the local community. We plan to make the most of her time by attending ballroom lessons, hitting up a few bars, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
Having this dedicated time for girl talk, laughter, and creating new memories is something we both cherish.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a special shoutout to Joyce Flowers, the former Marketing Director of W-3 Construction, for her invaluable mentorship and unwavering support throughout my early years as a young woman trying to find my niche Without Joyce, my success would not be what it is today.
Joyce was beautiful and amazing, but she was the epitome of professionalism. In my early 20s, I had the privilege of working under her guidance at W-3 Construction, where she taught me countless valuable lessons. One of the most important lessons Joyce imparted to me was the power of working towards what you believe in and putting in the effort to achieve your goals.
She saw potential in me and consistently encouraged me to reach for new heights. Her belief in my abilities gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams.
Thanks to her guidance, I have been able to develop into a skilled marketing professional and a passionate advocate for small businesses.
Hard work, dedication, and consistency were the core values that Joyce instilled in me. Her teachings continue to serve as the foundation of my business success. I am forever grateful for her mentorship and the role she played in shaping my career.
