We had the good fortune of connecting with JennyB Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JennyB, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I am definitely team ‘keep going”, So Luxe Pup is actually the second business that I started. Before I started my Dog business, I had been in beauty business for 22 yrs at the time and still currently in, so I know a lot about the up and downs of starting a business. It can take up to a good 5 yrs to really get your business off the ground or to even get noticed by the public. So you first have to have that good ole “staying power” to survive those first 5 yrs, so don’t give up! Trust the process because we all have to go through it .Don’t get caught up in others on social media and think your business isn’t growing fast enough, every business has a backstory! Use their story or post as motivation and know your day is coming too. Last but not least keep your faith up ,know that you’re never alone ,God hears your prayers Mark 11:24.

What should our readers know about your business?
So Luxe Pup is a luxury dog line were we feature the latest clothes ,collars ,leashes, slings carriers ,beds ,cake mix ,dog wine and we also carry our own Spa line and all natural heath care line that’s FDA approved. We have amazing customer service and also private shopping for the ultimate shopping experience. My biggest joy is seeing my customers excited and their furbabies jumping up and down, pets love feeling human . Pets feeling as human as possible is something I noticed as a child, which is the reason I got into the business. I’m not in this business for money, I’m in this business because I truly love animals and I’m also a dog owner and have been my whole life! The biggest challenge that I thought I would have is getting support from my own community ,which ended up being beautiful, I have amazing support for them and others. When it comes to this dog community we are one ,we are so full of love. I truly have found my second calling. I absolutely love it here!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I’m big on fitness so we would go to Stone Mountain with my furbaby and walk around the mountain or up . I love pizza for lunch so we can go over an grab a Monster slice from Cameli’s Pizza off Moreland ave. My favorite dinner spot is Houston on Northside Pkwy for a good Hawaiian Steak. Atlanta offers amazing festivals so we can check that out too. A great way to end the night is to grab a Lemon drop Martini at the Thompson or The St. Regis

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this article to my mom Annie R Williams , I loss her to Cancer 6 yrs ago ! Moving forward in life has had it challenges but in business it made me a Powerhouse! I know everything I’m doing she would be proud of . My mom believed in me from the beginning she paid for me to go to school out of her own pocket and now that I’ve started So Luxe Pup I know for a fact she would be proud. We both shared a love for nature and pets, Being that she taught me how to be an Entrepreneur open a luxury dog line business and being the first black women to own a line of all natural health care products that include vitamins, cbd oil, shampoo ,conditioner, leave in ,alkaline water ,paw balm and water based nail polish ,she would be extremely proud being that she fought for black women to have a voice and a place in this world! And she also taught me the power of prayer, I love her so much and I love evolving into the woman she prayed me to be.
