We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenny Han and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenny, what matters most to you?
The values that matter most is happiness, humility and honesty. Happy people radiate infectious positive energy. Studies show that we are happiest when we are around those who are also happy. Us human are all capable of being happy. You just have to find what makes you happy. I believe the greatest success in life is being happy with yourself. People with humility naturally have this kind approach when interacting with others which can help develop and strengthen positive relationships. Then comes honesty. When you are true to yourself and to others it builds trust and respect and contributes to success in all aspects of life. “Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts” by Winston Churchill is a quote I try to live by. Everyones definition of success is different but we should always be challenging ourselves. Success should be a constant process of putting in effort to expand our knowledge. People don’t purposefully set themselves up for failure. Failure happens and that’s okay. Failure is just an experience and that only. It allows us to learn, gain new insights and grow. Having courage and perseverance and understanding the ability to try again is what makes people ultimately succeed.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My parents were business owners for 30+ years so I knew early on how successful one could be with the right kind of business. I was a licensed cosmetologists and always loved making people feel good. I love traveling and went to visit Korea where Scalp Micro Pigmentation or hair tattoo (SMP) was the new trend. I knew of brow tattoo and eyeliner tattoo but never heard of scalp tattoo. Having thinning hair I decided to try it and I was instantly blown away. To be able to deposit ink into the scalp to replicate hair follicles with no invasive surgery, no scarring and no pain. Experiencing firsthand the confidence gained I knew immediately this was something I had to introduce back home. Trying to get the tattoo permit for the shop was not as easy as I anticipated. SMP is considered semi permanent makeup but the rules and regulations were more centered towards body art tattoo. It took a lot of back and forth with county code and landlord to okay but it eventually worked out. I would like the world to know it’s not just about our brand. I want you to come and want to come back. It’s about building your confidence and also building a relationship.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a native Atlantan. This city is beautiful and there is just so much to do. Hiking is a must do. We would visit some hiking trails. East Palisades, Overlook Deck, Tallulah Falls, Silver Comet to name a few. We definitely have to squeeze in golf at Lanier Islands Legacy for the stunning water views or Royal Lakes for similar experience for half the price. For touristy stuff we could check out the Georgia Aquarium, Coca cola factory, CNN. Catch a braves game at the Battery Atlanta. Go shopping in Buckhead but I personally like North Georgia premium outlets. There is just so much diversity in Atlanta and with that comes so many different food choices. Duluth is where most of my favorite Asian restaurants are. East Pearl for dim sum. J’s Minihotpot. Pho House for Vietnamese. Sri Thai for Thai. Local Station and Brunch Apothecary is must if you are in the Braselton area. You can sip on some Palomas, Mojitos or Margaritas while having brunch on the outdoor patios.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Give and Take by Adam Grant was recommended to me by a friend. The book talks about how success is how we interact with others. That there are 3 types of people in this world. Givers, takers and matchers. It explains the power of giving. When you help others around you be it your service or knowledge and truly want them to win, it becomes a cycle where they want to support you and help others win too. Then you get a group of successful people who together can accomplish extraordinary things. I’d like to give thanks to my mentors Sukyoung and Jihye Park in Korea. They have and still inspire me to succeed. Above all, I thank God for His grace always.
