Meet Jennifer Wagley | Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Wagley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I think I have sort of fallen into an artistic career by viewing each professional role I’ve had through a creative lens. Whether ‘art’ was – or should have been – traditionally be found in some of my earlier jobs out of college, I tried to find it anyway. Now, as a Creative Director, my work is much more aligned to my passions, but I run into challenges and ways new ways to learn artistically.

I have always been drawn to people and unique style. I nearly always carry my camera with me, and my friends have grown accustomed to me following a stranger on the street until I can get a photo of their bedazzled cowgirl hat / ask them where or how they made it. These interactions influence my career workflow and style – the choices I make creatively and how I approach solutions with my team at work.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My older sister! By experiencing most things before me – triumphs, failures, heartbreaks, etc. – she generously brought me along and shared it with me so I could have an easier time when I arrived at those milestones. She sort of let me double dip, too. I don’t remember her complaining about an extra appendage (me) at swim meets, birthday parties, or whatever I wanted to tag along to; however, I DO remember her making the three hour drive home from college just to watch me compete in MY swim meets, to watch me graduate, and arrive to my adulthood. I am so grateful for her.
