We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Richards and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, why did you pursue a creative career?
I needed to connect with a career that made my soul feel good and something that lit a fire in my spirit. That’s how I would always stay connected to my purpose.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I create extraordinary natural & organic hair and skin care products! I specialize in products that will moisturize and grow the hair. My products tackle weak, thinning, brittle hair. Stops shedding, which stunts your hair growth. So if you desire to have stronger, healthier hair while retaining your length. Fuller twist or braid outs that have great definition and moisture for days. I’m your girl! My skin care products will moisturize, clear acne, fade dark spots, and give you an overall even skin tone. You’ll have a beautiful illuminating glow! My Company also offer handcrafted luxurious body soaps, body scrubs that will leave your skin silky smooth! What sets me apart from others is the fact that no one can be me, as long as I operate from my authentic self, I will always bring something unique to the table. I am most proud of the example I set for my girls. Giving them a blue print that will help them blaze their own path. They also help me with the day to day operations and they take pride in serving our customers. I’m excited that I get to wake up everyday knowing that I can change and make a difference in someone else’s life. My business continues to thrive because of my hard work and determination. There are a lot of great days, however, owning your own business is not for the faint of heart, but if you are committed to mentally showing up everyday, you will figure it out. Using resources that are available to me and never quitting. I’ve learned that life will yield you what you put into it. Be kind to yourself and be kind to others. Take time to enjoy life’s littlest moments, be honorable and operate with integrity and within your value system. Even when no one is watching. I want people to know that you can always can depend on Ajaa’ Naturals to deliver high quality natural & organic products that are handcrafted with love.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would have to go to Centennial Olympic Park, it’s beautiful and a great place to start because you can also go to the Georgia Aquarium as well. The aquatic scene is so beautiful and it’s so much fun for the children too. We would also have to do a tour of the Coco Cola and CNN building. We would stop along the way to snack at the food carts to support the local community. We would later eat dinner at one of my favorite Thai restaurants, Thai of Austell. I love to cook as well, so one morning I would wake everyone up to a big southern cooked breakfast with everyone’s favorites on the menu. I would take them shopping at the Lenox Mall and hit up some other spots in the Buckhead area. We would grab lunch at the True Food Kitchen. We would visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden, they have so many beautiful plants and flowers and the fountains are so relaxing. We would have to visit the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. It’s such a moving experience and a great place to learn more about the work of Dr. King. Once done there, we would pick up lunch at one of my favorite vegan restaurants, Tassili’s Raw Reality Café. I love their Spicy Kale wraps. We would have to spend a day at Six flags. We would get on the most stomach dropping rides while stuffing our faces with amusement park food. We would pick a couple of nights to catch a show at the Fox Theater and to go to an Atlanta Hawks game.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to send a warm shout out to my hubby and girls, they continue to be a constant source of inspiration and support!
