Meet Jennifer Morse | Interior Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Morse and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Even at a young age, I realized that I was pretty creative and artistic. I was constantly drawing, painting or trying to build something. I would put different shapes together, and would try to somehow make it into a house. It was just something that I did and didn’t think too much into it. As I grew older, I had interests in other subjects, but I realized that my passion was in the artistic field, specifically interior design and architecture. I was excited about the idea of combining art and mathematics in a creative way. The ideas and creativity that could be done with actual structures that can be built and lived in was truly exciting for me. After that, I knew there was no other career I wanted to pursue besides interior design.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Jay Leigh Studios, LLC is a boutique interior design firm that specializes in making your style needs and vision come true. We focus mainly on residential and boutique hospitality projects but are beginning to branch out into small commercial projects as well. We offer multiple packages to assist every client with any specific requests needed for any project they may have. We pride ourselves on creating amazing plans/drawings and renders, as well as providing excellent customer service to assist with purchasing and installs. Our goal is to make the design process as easy and stress-free for the client as possible. We take the task of producing and providing the best creative option for the client and their needs. Services we provide include but are not limited to:

-Remodels
-Renovations
-New Structures
-Mood Boards
-Renderings
And much more!

We take pride in taking the time to listen and get to know each and every client to build trust. Our clients trust us to create the room(s) of their dreams. And we will continue to keep growing and satisfying our clients, where our goal is to renew & transform spaces into experiences.

Building a brand and business was not easy. The ride to greatness is never smooth, there were many bumps and stumbles along the way. However, I chose to see the disappointments as ammunition to push forward. I had to remember that God gave me this gift for a reason, and it would be irresponsible for me not to see this gift to its full purpose. I was determined not to let anything or anyone hinder me from greatness. My thought process was the best rebuttal to naysayers is to simply succeed. Therefore, I strive to make Jay Leigh Studios, LLC the best it can be. I also had to remember that success does not come over night, and it does not come without hard work.yes, I must believe that my business will do well, but I also must work hard in order for it to do so. I stayed the course and kept pushing, even on days when I felt like giving up, I had to remember what I goal was, and there will be no stopping until I reach it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I honestly do not know where I would take them first. There are so many things to offer in this city. But being that I am a foodie, I would more than likely take them to a restaurant tour. Going to several restaurants everyday to try new foods and drinks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people I could list of course. First and foremost I have to shout out my family. They have been my rock, my support group, my cheering squad and even my guinea pigs. My family has always encouraged me to dream big and go for it! Through the highs and the lows, they have been there for me, pushing me forward, never letting me give up. I am truly appreciative and grateful for them. Thank you so much!
