We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Evans and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, how does your business help the community?
My practice, Rejuvenant Family Health Care, offers an alternative way for individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to access medical care. We’ve heard the saying “health is wealth.” It’s sometimes difficult to access the care you need to practice this idea. People, such as entrepreneurs and creatives, often don’t receive the health care they need, because they aren’t sure where to access care that fits their busy schedules and insurance scenarios. We are able to meet the community’s needs with direct primary care.

What should our readers know about your business?
As a child, I always dreamed of becoming a physician. Like many of my colleagues, I was distraught to learn the challenges of caring for people in this current healthcare environment. I began to search for ways that I could still care for my community in spite of the flaws of the current system. I founded Rejuvenant Family Health Care as part of the solution. We use a model called direct primary care where our patients pay an affordable periodic fee similar to a gym membership or a streaming service without billing insurance for physician services. We are able to schedule appointments that last beyond 15 minutes with ease and there is little to no wait for your appointment to begin!

I’m most excited about being able to practice in such a way that I can witness the impact of good health care in the lives of my patients. I actually have time to assist and advise them with personalized action plans.

To get to this point and beyond in my business, it takes a lot of educating the community about direct care, which can be a challenge at times. I’m passionate about affordable health care and meeting the needs of our community, so I don’t mind.

I’ve learned that people need hope that good healthcare isn’t just about insurance. Understanding this has helped me educate others about accessing care and advocating for themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would recommend traveling to Metro Atlanta. If you love breakfast/brunch, definitely check out The Flying Biscuit. Two restaurants for dinner that our family and friends like to visit are Mary Mac’s Tea Room and Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint. For a day in nature, visit the Atlanta Botanical Gardens or head a little further South to hike at Indian Springs State Park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout my family for their support on this journey into private practice- My husband, daughters, mom, and dad.
