We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenn Weeks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenn, is there something you believe many others might not?
I disagree with the notion that you must pick one thing and focus on that one thing. While I fully understand there may be times when you must concentrate more on one area than another, I don’t think you should abandon those other areas completely. Continue to water those other ideas/talents and watch them grow and bloom as well.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a stand-up comedian. I have an infectious smile and relatable material that connects with any audience. One of the things I’m most proud of is my Clean Cut Comedy show series I was able to put on prior to the pandemic. This was a monthly show that most often sold out and the audience had a great time from start to finish. I am excited about a new series entitled Laugh-n-Lyrics that a singer/songwriter and myself are embarking on. Challenges come with anything you do, it’s a part of life. I have learned to roll with the punches and be thankful for the good and bad moments. I have a gift and I’ve realized that no matter the size of the crowd, when I go out onstage, I must give it my all, EVERY SINGLE TIME.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s see….a weeklong visit with the bestie… We’d definitely go to the Riverwalk (mostly to people watch) and the Museum of Science and History.
Sometime during the visit we’d have to go to an escape room and afterwards directly over to Just Smash It rage room so I can alleviate the stress from the panic room.
Food is a must, so we’d have to go eat at Fuji Sushi, Hawker’s, Mad-O Seafood and Ole Mexican Restaurant.
And of course, we’d have to head over to the Comedy Zone to check out a comedy show or a show put on by one of the talented comics in the area.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to shout out God. You’ve afforded me grand opportunities to make people smile and laugh when they are in some of the worst moments of their lives. That’s pretty dope.

The people who believe in me more than I believe in myself and push me harder than I would ever push myself. You guys are incredible.

The people that consider me their mentor, I’m humbled and slightly dumbfounded that you’d chose me. Thank you.
