We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeiris George and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeiris, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
This industry is based on the double R’s “relationships and reputation.” Establishing positive longevity with clientele and making sure I have a presence, whether it’s on social media or in-person, that holds consistency—creating trust and representation in my business and myself.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I got here today by putting Faith first and having a team that believes in me. Being here is not easy; entrepreneurship is not only a career risk; it’s a financial risk. Falling back on myself as the leader and showed others they could depend on me. The unknown financial investments and hiring employees, in the beginning, is a risk because your still building and growing. You don’t know if your industry will be successful, and leaving a previous career is a considerable risk. Believing in yourself and what you are creating is key anytime you take a risk.
Lessons I learned along the way are Relationships and reputation are very important in today’s economy and society. Your reputation is mainly based on your influence, whether it’s in real life or on social media. Staying consistent with networking on internet platforms, so your brand stays competing with others in the retail industry. As an entrepreneur, you are always representing yourself and anything that is attached. You are constantly marketing to individuals, so maintaining a positive image at all times is pivotal key.
I want people to know that these brands were created to develop an entity that could provide an opportunity for people.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would first make sure that we exercise and get our minds right, then take them to Manhattan, where we will go for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse. I would take them to a couple of my favorite places, museums, etc. If a basketball game is on, I would take them to see the Brooklyn Nets.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Michael Haughton was the only one who has been with me from day one and believed in me and the process.
