We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazemine Blanding and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jazemine, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is PRAYER.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My name is Jazemine, and I am a full-time career woman with a business in raw hair that is sure to thrive. The reason why I became a small business owner is because a woman’s hair is her crown. I love everything about hair. I know for myself; I have spent hundreds of dollars on hair over the years so that I could make sure my hair always looked good. When I was in college, I knew that I had a desire to sell hair. I did not pursue the idea at the time because I felt the market was already saturated with hair businesses. Fast forward to 2021, in conversation with my mentor, she told me, “You casted down one of the business ventures that God has for you. It’s in the hair business, God gave you that business idea.” It was from that conversation that I went full speed ahead to starting my own company to sell quality, raw hair that made women feel great and empowered them to be their authentic selves. It is true that when a woman has her hair done, she can conquer the world– it’s like having the right pair of shoes! I started my business journey by researching vendors who could provide top-quality raw hair. I knew I wanted to sell raw hair so that women who purchase my hair would be able to manipulate the color, up to Blonde 613 if they desired, without the integrity and texture of the hair changing. It is important to me that my customers receive exactly what they want from what they see on the website to the actual install. Jazzy Blanco Enterprise plans to purchase wigs and donate them to cancer centers across the globe. I am called to make an impact on women — worldwide. I would love to collaborate with local organizations to have a wig fundraiser to help with the donations for the cancer survivors. Piece by piece, I have built my business and I am thankful it is continuing to expand. Jazzy Blanco Enterprise entered the world June 2021 and I have not looked back!

The main obstacle I encountered was finding the right people/company to create my logo and website for Jazzy Blanco Enterprise. I wanted to assure that the website and logo was representative of the brand and what I wanted to portray: luxury, elegance, class, grace, authentic. Also, finding the right hair vendor for my hair business took a lot of work. I knew that this would be an investment. Many nights I was up late on WhatsApp video with vendors from India, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia discussing their hair products. I ordered samples of hair and tested the hair. I wanted to be sure I was making the right choice for my business. Now almost a year later, my hard work and research paid off. I love the hair and am confident in my product. I am the walking billboard for my business because I wear my own product!
I am potentially looking to expand product offerings with Jazzy Blanco Enterprise. I know this will potentially bring another set of challenges but having taken the first step of putting my business out to world, I am confident I will navigate these challenges well. My customers are women who love luxury experiences with no hassle and half of the expense. My business caters to women who invest in luxury hair extensions. The hair extensions on my website lets my consumers know where it is sourced and with proper care can let up to 3 years.

I want the world to know that you can have the career and business too.

I see so much growth and potential in my business and I won’t stop until my business exceeds my expectation. The hair industry is a billion-dollar business, so I know I will be the next billionaire. My biggest accomplishment is that I maneuver into the hair business by myself and prayer. I did not have a guide, e course, book, or hair expert to learn from. My business was literally birthed from a prayer..

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a huge shoutout to God. My family, a few friends and mentor.
