We had the good fortune of connecting with Jayla Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jayla, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process for starting my first own business was definitely self ambitious without much purpose or true identity of why I was doing it. As I’ve developed my other two businesses they came from a place of me wanting to spread who I am which is a visionary and encourager who just enjoys seeing others win and walk in purpose! Uplifted Apparel says… Love Have Faith & Hope!While my other business Jay Sade Creations helps others who are building rather it be a business or ministry to have active solutions that they would be able to apply to guide them to success .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe what truly makes me different is my truth and testimony through what I do. I know how it is to want someone around like me around coming up. Through every piece of music I create, apparel design that comes up, and anything I do it truly comes from a personally place.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area and I wanted to show them a best time it would definitely have to be anything with good food and live music. I love live music , open mic/karaoke truly a great time!In my view the most fun thing to do / people to be around is genuine folks who no matter what going to make the best out of any situation placed in.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If I’m being honesty I want and have to thank God because literally all I am and have the capacity to do it only through him ! I’m appreciative of literally person both good and bad who has entered my life because in ever way it’s how I ended up to be here at this place of success and I’m soo grateful! Thank you mom and grandma for your constant wisdom and example of strength that has help me to as well get to where I am ! I love you and miss you both may heaven continue to rejoice!
